NTSC Safe Area

Almost all of our productions, even video, are meant to display on computer or digital screens so the concept of the NTSC safe area was somewhat foreign. Producing DVDs that will be used with old tube TVs though is a different story. With those there are potential areas of the display that cannot be seen by the viewer.

This site has a discussion. We will have to do small adjustments in productions to deal with this issue so it is not a massive problem. Just one of those tidbits of information to tuck away for future reference.
