Larry,
as an e-learning strategic advisor, works with the client to develop
appropriate blended learning strategies which include the use of
e-learning products. As the project manager on our projects, Larry
acts as the primary interface between the client and Courses by Wire
on project-related issues and carries out the day-to-day project
management responsibilities to ensure that the project plan is
followed and completed on time and on budget.
Larry has over 35 years of experience in a variety of business functions with a focus on marketing, sales, customer support, and information systems. Larry is a trained facilitator in the creative problem solving process, Simplex, as well as being an associate of the Center for Research in Applied Creativity.
Over the past 13 years, Larry has been involved in the customer relationship management, project management and various development activities of Computer Based Training (CBT) for a variety of high profile clients.
Larry holds a Masters of Business Administration from York
University with majors in Finance, Cost Accounting and Marketing. In
addition he is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers
of Ontario and has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical
Engineering from the University of Toronto.
As
technical lead on all of our projects, Brian acts as the primary
interface between the client and Courses by Wire on IT-related
issues. In this role, Brian provides technical consulting to the
client on any IT issues that could impact the success of the
project.
In his 23-year involvement with the computer based education business, Brian has developed a broad understanding of the strategic and technical issues involved in the computer based delivery of training and education. As an e-learning strategic advisor, Brian works with the client to develop appropriate blended learning strategies which include the use of e-learning products.
Brian has over 35 years of experience as a software development professional, in both management and programming. Currently, Brian acts as a strategic advisor and technical lead on our projects and is involved in developing and deploying configurable standards compliant Learning Delivery Systems (LDS) using Zope and Python. Brian has also been involved in the development of real-time restaurant management software, and educational computers and software.
Brian is recognized as a Microsoft "Most Valuable Professional" (MVP) in the area of real-time collaborative computer technologies. Brian has been successful in building and managing website communities that attract a high volume of traffic and have extensive experience managing a range of Internet servers; including HTTP servers, DNS servers and mail servers.
Brian attended the University of Waterloo in the Co-operative
Computer Science program.
Mary
is involved in providing e-learning solutions and is active in the
instructional design and development of web-based training courses;
content coordination with the subject matter expert(s) to create
detailed storyboards; and quality assurance testing of the
e-learning programs.
Mary has enjoyed a 23-year career in public education. Notable career highlights include being an advisor for course material purchases for her school board and being a field tester for a Ministry of Education French language competency survey. Mary was also part of an initiative involving her school board and TV Ontario to demonstrate the integration of TVO programming into the classroom as an enrichment source.
Mary is also a trained facilitator in the creative problem solving process, Simplex, and has most recently been involved in facilitation projects in both the public and private sectors.
Mary is a graduate of the University of Toronto and the Lakeshore
Teachers' College and has enriched her teaching with additional
courses in French as a Second Language (Specialist Level), Special
Education and Guidance Counselling.
Pat
is involved in providing e-learning solutions and is active in the
instructional design and development of web-based training courses;
content coordination with the subject matter expert(s) to create
detailed storyboards and graphical elements; graphical and creative
design of the e-learning programs; and quality assurance testing of
the e-learning programs.
Pat has several years of experience in the instructional design and development of web-based training courses, as well as, expertise in desktop publishing and electronic document generation with a focus on visual design and page layout. With a degree in Computer Science, Pat’s background also includes over ten years of experience in the area of system analysis, technical support and user training in an on-line environment.
Pat has also worked as a consultant providing expertise in electronic document generation. Pat’s skills include writing and editing, as well as, visual design and page layout. Pat has extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office tools and is an accomplished programmer in VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) for Office. Most recently, Pat has consulted with several graphic design companies on projects that involve the electronic implementation of corporate identity and branding. Pat's background also includes over ten years of experience in the area of system analysis, technical support and user training in an on-line environment.
Pat has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario
with a major in Computer Science.
